Does the work of explaining the Word and sharing Mary Baker Eddy’s teachings with those incarcerated
inspire you?

You can help!

There are several ways a Christian Scientist can help our Committee do its work:

Branch Church Representative

Individuals in New Jersey branch churches can help by contributing to the periodic mailing of approved Christian Science Publishing Society material to specified prisons.  Extra or no longer used paper publications are collected and mailed to prisons assigned to each church’s Committee representative.

Committee Council Member

Individuals volunteer for a three-year commitment to serving on the Committee Council.  The Council meets monthly for Zoom meetings in which Committee financial information is reviewed as well as Chaplain fruitage.  The Council also organizes two Zooms per year in which invitations are made to all New Jersey church members and friends of the Committee.

Prison Chaplains

Individuals who week to deeply dedicate themselves to serving the needs of New Jersey prison populations are welcome to contact the Coordinating Chaplain to investigate the next steps in preparation for this very important work.
